The entity bitLab, LLC was created in 1994 to host the development of information chemistry as a new paradigm for information device and system engineering. The essential vision guiding this effort is to define a chemistry-of-bits from a physics-of-bits, ultimately leading to a biology-of-bits. Inspired by the artificial life research published at that time, this work is the obverse of computational physics, chemistry and biology.

This line of research and development at bitLab is coming to a natural conclusion with the publication of the most useful innovations and interesting results. Base3z encoding is the first of these innovations to be released as a useful product. A parallel message processing technique for C++ applications will be published in 2012.
